South Wokingham expansion is coming!
We need to hear from YOU
We want to know what matters to YOU
We want to represent YOUR views when we meet with the Borough Council.
Construction on the South Wokingham Distributor Road (SWDR) is now underway. While the project promises to improve traffic flow around the Town Centre we know there will be significant disruption for nearly two years during the build period.
The subsequent construction of 1800 new homes, which will be built south of the railway line, will affect us all, over the next few months and years.
This expansion will inevitably impact on our daily lives, particularly in the early stages of the development, with potential road closures and diversions.
We want to know what is important to YOU. We intend to hold an OPEN MEETING early April to discuss YOUR views in more detail.
Watch this space for more news on the upcoming OPEN MEETING and our deliberations with the Borough Council.
If you know somebody in the GLRA community that would be interested in hearing more about our activities please forward this message to them or point them to our web site www.glra.org.uk where they can also provide their contact details to receive future updates https://www.glra.org.uk/involved.
WBC have recently published a newsletter about the SWDR which we encourage you to view
